MY REVIEW
I absolutely loved getting the opportunity to read the #ThreeLittleLies series again! Sara Ney is a master at creating realistic new adult stories. In Things Liars Fake, it’s Daphne’s turn to tell a lie. Quite frankly, I found her lie to be the tamest of them all. Don’t forget, Tabitha lied about her passion (writing) and Greyson created an entirely fake boyfriend. Ah, I loved those stories. And I loved this one just the same.
So anywho, Daphne meets Dexter and can’t keep her eyes of this seemingly innocuous, adorkable hottie. Shoot, the way he was described, I’m not sure I’d be able to resist him either. However, Dex was completely clueless to Daphne’s beyond obvious attraction. An innocent non-date turns into Dex asking for a fake date and that’s the lie. It was more Dex’s lie and Daphne played along. It was sweet, cute, fun, and surprisingly sexy watching these two fumble around each other. Told with Ney’s familiar quirkiness and sarcasm, I couldn’t help but love each and every awkward moment.
Whether you’re a fan of new adult, young adult or even old adult (is that even a thing?), I can’t recommend this series enough. It’s three short novellas that tell three wonderful stories about characters who were easy to love and root for. And with this last book, the author gave us the sweetest ending!
