Cali lives in the large house in the middle of the street with her perfect husband and two perfect little boys. She resides near her closest friends, four other Brookston housewives, and always has a glass of wine in her hand. Calista seems to have the picture perfect life. My Review
★★★★☆
You know those books that are nothing like what you'd expect? You go in blind and are blown away? My first read from S. Cole was absolutely phenomenal! The suburb of Brookston is just like any other residential community - full of families, cookouts, dinner parties, gossip, and superficial friendships. But there is a layer of darkness that hangs over this housing development. The same person smiling in your face is stabbing you in your back. You don't know who to trust and you just may be letting the devil into your life. There is absolutely no love lost between these people. I don't even think they know the true meaning of love or loyalty.
Sin in Suburbia was thrilling and sexy and had me wanting to discover all of the secrets of its characters. I felt bad for some and nothing for others. It was very hard to like these people because no one was inherently good. I still don't know all there is to know so I'll definitely be reading the next book in the series to find out!
About The Author
S. Cole, otherwise known as Shay Cole, is a new-ish author. She has written stories for as long as she can remember. The characters that reside in her little black heart finally bothered her enough that she had to share them with fellow book lovers. Shay grew up in a home where she was taught to embrace her inner nerd and creativity . . . and her short stature. At 5’1, Shay is that short girl who writes about deranged, devious, and sexy villains.
