You are cordially invited to a wedding…

The date has been picked; the planning has begun. All that’s needed now is a groom.

Angela never saw herself asking a complete stranger to marry her, but with her wedding drawing closer, she’s left with little choice. The arrangement is simple. Convince her parents they’re head over heels for each other, get married, and then go their separate ways.

But she didn’t anticipate her heart having plans of its own.

Tristan thought he was meeting her for their first date, but ends up getting a marriage proposal instead. His past makes it easy to understand why Angela needs a fake fiancé. And how hard could it be to go along with her charade anyway?

But his feelings never agreed to play by the rules.

Neither of them considered what would happen when faking it stopped being enough. What do you do when you start falling for the person you’re marrying?

★★★★✩

What is with these new-to-me authors tossing out winners all willy-nilly?
Ari Reavis made me a fan within minutes of reading Just Fake It.
Her game was as smooth as silk.
I'm now a fiend and her words are my drug!

Angela needs a fake husband STAT. He needs to play the loving fiancé for her parents and walk down the aisle. Easy, right?
Tristan was just a responsible man looking out for his brother. Being a hot guy with a scrumptious beard was just the icing. He was perfect for Angela's plan. What could go wrong?

I loved how easy things were between these characters.
Their relationship followed a natural progression and never felt forced or contrived.
No unnecessary drama, no angst.
This book shows readers that a story doesn't have to be messy to be excellent.
And the sex... I was surprised by how hot and often it was.
Here I was, reading this super sweet book about super sweet characters, doing super sweet datings things to get to know each other.
But then they had sex.
And it was incredible sex.
Descriptive, scorching, intense sex.
And it happened all over the place.
It was frequent enough without overpowering the plot.
That alone would have made the book for me. I'm just saying.
However, the author gave us a story with meaning and with feeling.
Shoot, even the interactions with Angela's parents weren't fruitless. They gave me warm fuzzies.

If this is what I can expect from this author, I'll definitely be reading everything she's got!
