He saw her from across a crowded ballpark and knew she was about to change his life.
Yes, he realizes just how cliché that really is, but the moment his eyes locked on her, he knew that she was the one.
At least, the one that royally screwed him over. The one responsible for his demotion and the subsequent disciplinary action taken against him before he’d even gotten out of the probationary period with Kilgore Police Department.
It all started with a kiss.

Saylor Rae Spada tried to mind her business. She also tried to not get involved in petty disputes.
However, from the moment she saw him sitting next to her at a professional baseball game, a game she didn’t even want to be at but was dragged to by her blind date, she couldn’t look away.
Then the kiss cam came on, featuring none other than her and the handsome stranger.
Without missing a beat, he kissed her.
Then her blind date decided to pull a knife and try to stab him.
From that point forward, she’s done nothing but cause him trouble.
Trouble that he’s starting to find increasingly adorable.

My Review
From the moment their eyes met at a baseball game, love was in the air. I could feel it. They couldn't look away from each other. And then all hell broke loose! Six months later, they haven't seen or forgotten about the other, but a wedding brings them back together, in style, and the chemistry between them is as hot as ever.
I loved the connection between Lock and Saylor. The fact that they were connected by six degrees and that even though they knew the same people, they somehow never met, intrigued me. I loved that Saylor had unique characteristics that I wouldn't have guessed if the author didn't describe them. I'm still trying to figure out why they were necessary, as they didn't actually play a part in the story, but I liked the concept anyway. However, as much as I enjoyed Saylor and her quick wit, she did something that made me cringe. It's something that whenever a heroine does it, I have to question their sanity. When your life is in danger and those who are qualified to protect you try to do so, do as they say! Unless you yourself are qualified, stop thinking that you can take care of yourself in the face of dangerous circumstances. You can't. Unless you have had tactical training, have excelled at some form of martial art, or are a keen gunslinger (or something of the sort), shut up, sit down, and do as your told by the professionals!
Okay, so while I enjoyed Saylor (aside from that last little bit), the star of the show was Lock. This man was insanely fine and Saylor said it best:I really liked who Lock was as a person. He was kind, caring, sweet, possessive and hot.
The characters and the romance were, as always, topnotch. I even got the chance to revisit with some of my favorite people. I'm so in love with everyone! With a bit of suspense and creepiness to keep things lively, Sinners Are Winners was a winner in my book. There was one person introduced in this story that I'm really forward to getting to know better... Malachi Stokes. His story sounds like it would be heartbreaking and I just know that LLV will make it all worth it!!
