He was a walking orgasm and Jade couldn't resist him. Not that he tried very hard to resist her. But the more they came together in passionate embraces, the further away he seemed. His traumatic past tormented his present and his walls were practically impossible to scale. Those insurmountable obstacles didn't stop Jade and by the end, I think her determination to really know the truth of Talon would be even stronger. I'm sure the next book will delve more into it and I can only hope that her patience holds on for a little bit longer.

I had a hard time really connecting to this story and I'm not quite sure why. I know it wasn't the writing because Helen Hardt can write. I figured that out when I fell in love with her Blood Bond Saga. I was fascinated by the flashbacks, although they depicted the horrible things Talon experienced in the past. I think I just wanted more Talon. The fact is, much of this book proved to be a bit repetitive and while that can be enjoyable to some, I was looking for the meat and potatoes of the story. I'm looking forward to the next book to see just how the author will develop Talon and Jade's relationship and if his story will finally be told.
