Welcome to another TTT, hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl! This week ended up being a FREEBIE, where we get to come up with our own topic. I decided to keep mine super basic because it will be what helps the most in the end. My TBR seems to be never-ending, as I'm sure is true for most of you, and I always need help culling its contents. When the new year came around, I promised myself that for every dozen or so books I added to it, I would read at least one immediately. So here are the latest books and maybe you can help me choose one to get started...
➤ Cinderella Is Dead by Kalynn Bayron
I added this one purely on hype. I saw it all over my IG and FB feeds and saw such amazingly beautiful reviews for it virtually everywhere and thought 'I don't wanna miss out'.
➤ Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody
Although this book has been sitting at the back of my mind for a while now, it only got added to my GR list due to a giveaway. The giveaway ends in 3 days and you can enter HERE.
I've seen mixed reviews for it and some people liken it to Six of Crows, which I haven't read so I guess I'll find out everything soon enough.
➤ King of Fools by Amanda Foody
It's the sequel to the previous book and I added it because of the giveaway. This giveaway also ends in 3 days and you can enter it HERE.
➤ Dead Pretty by Samantha Towle
I haven't read a book from this author in years. So when I chanced upon a giveaway for this title, and saw that it wasn't a flowery romance but a thriller, I couldn't pass it up. This giveaway ends in 2 days and you can enter it HERE.
➤ The What If Guy by Lauren Blakely
For one, it's Lauren Blakely and I'll never turn down a book from her. Two, this part of the blurb: 'It should be an easy rule to follow - don't bang your boss...
But I didn't know who he was when I met him.' I love these kinds of stories!
➤ Blood of Zeus by Meredith Wild & Angel Payne
I fell in love with Angel Payne's BOLT series. It was scifi superhero deliciousness! I'm still relatively new to Wild's writing, but this book's blurb was impossible to resist.
➤ Kiss Me With Lies by S.M. Soto
After falling in love with her Chaos series (I still can't really stand that heroine), I knew I had to read more from this author. I've heard and seen great reviews for this series, so I'm definitely going to give it a try.
➤ Heartbreak Me by T.L. Smith
It's been a while since I've read from this author too. I've loved some of her books, didn't quite enjoy others. However, this one sounds like something I could fall in love with. I'm hoping this dark romance lives up to my expectations.
➤ Securing Avery by Susan Stoker
After only reading one previous book from this author, I know that I want to read more. It seems all of her books are about military men saving someone. I don't really know, but I do know that I added this book as a place holder.
➤ Storm and Fury by Jennifer L. Armentrout
There was a time, when I first started reading romance, that I wanted to get my hands on all things JLA. That faded somewhere, but it's back with a vengeance and I cannot WAIT to start this series!!

DeleteGreat list! I keep seeing so many rave reviews for Cinderella is Dead, I'm really looking forward to its release.
ReplyDeleteSame. I hope I love it as much as the hype says I will :)
DeleteNice list! I haven't read any of these, but they sound very interesting. If I were you, I'd read Cinderella is Dead first, only because I really like fairytale retellings. Whatever you choose to read, happy reading!
ReplyDeleteThank you! And I LOVE retellings too :)
DeleteLooks like a great set of books to pick from.
ReplyDeleteMy Top Ten Tuesday.

DeleteThe Foody books look super fun! I like the covers too, especially the second one.
ReplyDeleteDon't they? That's what attracted me to them in the first place :)
DeleteYou will enjoy these. Good list of future reads.

ReplyDeleteEveryone and their mama :)
DeleteThank you, Deanna!
I read the first two Ace of Shades books and Storm and Fury. Both good, depending on your mood. I love the Cinderella is Dead cover and the plot sounds great too!
ReplyDeleteSo basically I'm good no matter my choice then :)
DeleteI wish I could help, but I don't read these genres! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Davida!
DeleteI would definitely go for Cinderella is Dead -- the cover and the premise just won me over too!

DeleteI like the look of Cinderella is Dead, enjoy reading whatever you decide!
ReplyDeleteMe too and thank you, Heather!
DeleteMy copy of Cinderella Is Dead should be delivered today! I am worried it might be over-hyped. Everyone kept recommending me Ace Of Shades, so I bought a copy some time ago and still haven't read it. Whoops.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'm scared of when it comes to Cinderella Is Dead. I'm scared of being disappointed :(
DeleteYeah, Ace of Shades has been recommended a bunch to me too. Maybe we should both read it... someday.
Hope you get around to these! :D
