I've recently discovered the work of S.M. Soto so this week's answers all relate to her series, Chaos.

So for recently read, I've got Deception and Chaos.



It opens up with the female protagonist at the mercy of human traffickers. It's brutal and entertaining. To the rescue are men, including her brother, who belong to a secret government agency of mercenaries. Twisted and horrific, by the end I was eager to get my hands on book two.

I'm currently reading the next book of the series, Blood and Chaos.



One of the things I'm most grateful for with this book was the fact that it includes the male protagonist's voice. Hallelujah! Sophia's life hasn't gotten any easier since she's fallen in love with Creed and this girl is constantly at someone's mercy. She's a human punching bag and she does nothing to help herself... again. It's really good and I'm loving being inside the hero's head. Creed is cold and lethal when he needs to be and yet he has so much love and sweetness for Sophia. I'm heading towards what seems to be the climax of the book so it's a good thing I've already got book three lined up.
