It's been a long, long time since I've posted any of the books I've received. My bad. It's just that every time I thought "I'll do it today", life got in the way and I forgot. I'm sure tons of you can relate. So here are the signed books I received over the last few months. I'll do another post for the unsigned ones I got.
1. The September 2019 OwlCrate Subscription Box
Okay, so obviously May was an amazing month for my bookshelves. I got SO MANY books!! Many of them I've read already and some are on my TBR. Have you read any of these? And what was your book haul like this month?
I don't know if I've expressed this enough, but... The Order of the Senary is one of my most favorite PNR series of all time. Between the intense characters and the intricate plots, each story tackles love and loss and devastation of the world as we know it. Have you met these awesome hybrids yet?

L.A. Fiore is one of my favorite authors. If I'm ever in a book funk, her stories are some of my go-tos to get back into the swing of things. I fell in love with her books a few years ago and they keep getting better. Strong, protective heroes and fierce, loving heroines. Sweet and sexy romance at its finest.

I actually pre-ordered this book box months ago. I was intrigued by the fact that here in Canada, Chapters Indigo offered a super neat box with a signed book and goodies. Why did no one tell me this before? I was impressed with the quality of goods included in the box and everything looks fantastic on my bookshelf. I'll definitely be doing something like this again!
The OwlCrate Limited Edition The Wicked King Box
I actually missed the first round of orders for this box. I was incredibly sad, so imagine my delight when I got the email telling me that I had another chance. You better believe I hurried my azz up to order! The box includes:
✦ wood wick candle from Alchemy and Ink
✦ an acorn necklace from Team OwlCrate
✦ faerie fruit tea from Riddle's Tea Shoppe
✦ gem soap from Leeloo Soaps
✦ a cotton scarf from Bookmark'd Tattoos
✦ a zipper pouch from Reverie and Ink
✦ double-sided tassel bookmark from Indigo Eleven
✦ a beautiful art print from Melanie Bourgeois (@meliescribbles)
✦ an enamel pin from That's Lovely Dear
✦ hardcover copy of The Wicked King with an exclusive cover - signed with a letter from Holly Black
This is what was included in the January Mystic Box and it was a doozy. Who is going to complain about getting the entire series in one go?
Natalie Bennett is a new-to-me author but with a name like that, how can she go wrong? I've been wanting to read her books and now I have the perfect excuse.
Check the books out for yourself!
Queen of Diamonds (Old Money Roulette #1)
King of Hearts (Old Money Roulette #2)
Ace of Spades (Old Money Roulette #3)
About The Author
Natalie Bennett is your average socially awkward author that turns her spontaneous head ramblings into stories.
She has a penchant for writing about villainous immoral men, crazed anti-heroines, and tends to deviate away from traditional HEA's.

One of the great things about having a birthday so close to Christmas? Getting a gift is guaranteed. I may not get it on my actual birthday, but I'll definitely get it by the end of the year. There are so many great deals for gifts and all I have to do is make a list of what I want. And I got EVERYTHING I asked for, including these amazing books!!

The only thing better than a book? A cart full of them! - Anonymous
I thought to myself, 'surely I can resist buying books for one month. Right?' Obviously not, as pictured below is just some of the books I've received for the month of January. If any of you happen to have tips to help me keep a lock on my wallet and actually stick to my book budget, I'd greatly appreciate hearing them. Seriously, it's hard enough to resist buying what I want. But then the bookstores have ridiculous sales, like hardcovers for only $8, and I'm really supposed to look away? Yeah... no.
Fair warning: this is probably my longest post EVER!! But if you stick with it, you may just find a spectacular read to add to your collection.
I know I've gone into a bit of detail about my obsession with Book Outlet. I'm new to the site, but my one-click finger feels like it's been doing this for a long time. The site is perfect for someone like me who's new to discovering (or rediscovering) their love for things a bit outside the adult romance genre. I've been so stuck in the adult romance field that I haven't given myself the chance to read anything else. I've all but forgotten my deep and passionate love for thrillers and mysteries, and luckily have found a deep longing for YA stories. This site offers it all at incredible prices. However, it isn't the only site benefitting from my aggressive shopping habit. In Canada, I haven't found a lot of options so if any of you know of somewhere else I can shop that isn't going to cost me an arm and a leg, let a bitch know. So anyhoo, Amazon, Book Depository and Indigo have gotten their greedy hands on my wallet as well and I have absolutely NO REGERTS (yes, the misspell was intentional). This month I've bought and received so many books and I haven't read or started 90% of them, but do you think that will stop me from buying more and sharing my haul with you in January? Have you met me?

I'm not sure whether to thank those who steered me towards Book Outlet or to blame them for my spending. I wonder if any of them will help me recoup my losses??? Because now that I've started, I don't know how I'm going to stop. If you haven't found your way there yet, here's the site so that you can check it out - bookoutlet.com or where I go - bookoutlet.ca
