He was convinced he’d be a bachelor for life. And then he met the girl of his dreams.
Jordan Reeves has fully embraced the carefree, uncomplicated bachelor life, figuring that the poor example he’d been provided by his parents of so-called marital bliss was reason enough to remain single. He’s more than content to date one woman after another and never even consider settling down, especially since the only female who’s ever seriously caught his attention belongs to another man.
But during a vacation in Hawaii, Jordan unexpectedly meets a woman who could very easily change his mind about the joys of bachelorhood. Aubrey Larson is young, gorgeous, fun-loving, and has a wicked sense of humor to match his own. She’s also a dead ringer for the woman Jordan’s had an admitted crush on for the past few years, enough to be mistaken for her twin.
Aubrey recognizes the handsome Doctor Reeves as a player of epic proportions the first time they meet, but even her usual disdain for that type of male can’t diminish the overwhelming attraction she feels for him. But as their relationship deepens, Aubrey has no idea that becoming involved with Jordan will lead to a startling discovery about her own past, and cause her to question his true feelings for her.
One of the things I love most about books by Janet Nissenson is how sweet her stories are. The Girl of His Dreams was full of swoons, humor, and romantic love.
Jordan was a confirmed bachelor. He hadn't met a relationship that he liked. As a matter of fact, this man had no clue what a relationship was. It didn't help that he was not-so-secretly in love with a woman who was happily married and in love with her husband. Hoping to just 'get over it', he embarks on a vacation to Hawaii to get his groove back. Coincidence or not, he gets a glimpse of Aubrey and he's immediately fixated because she's a dead ringer for the crush he left behind. Aubrey didn't immediately fall prey to his charms, but Jordan was simply irresistible and these two started bumping pretties soon after they met. Hearts get involved and although Jordan has to go home eventually, neither one of them wants what they have to end. So what happens to the love when they get back to the real world?
Reading this book was similar to watching a romantic comedy. I could very easily see this story play out in a movie. It was light, fun, and had enough drama to keep it entertaining!

Then he gets the phone call. Sadie’s been in a car accident.
By the time he reaches her side, she is critical.
With Sadie in a coma, memories flood Kaden’s mind. Her kisses. And all the wonderful experiences they shared. The day it all went wrong…and Kaden made the biggest mistake of his life. Now, as her last line of defense against those who've given up hope, he'll move heaven and earth to protect her.
Because she’s always had his heart—but if he loses her, his world will come apart.

To fight and win means the control is mine. The last man standing proves it all. Never again will I be on the losing end of the blow, the one lying broken and bloody wanting to die.
Control. Dominance. Aggression. Victory.
Each represents a means to survival, a necessity to stay alive, and the key to suppress the demons that lie inside; the very ones clawing and attempting to break free from the bar that holds them at bay. Every day is a struggle to stay away from the darkness and evil that lurks deep within, the truths I repress.
Eighteen years that bastard had his teeth in me. Six thousand five hundred and seventy days he hated me. And if that wasn’t enough to pay my sin the guilt still consumes me. The nightmares won’t let go.
Nine years ago I left behind the bloodthirsty beast. I walked away from everything I had ever known. I sent her away like she didn’t matter—the first girl I ever loved and my only best friend. The only person that ever understood me. 108 months I’ve been getting by. On every fight night I’m considered a pretty lucky guy. To them it’s a career. To me, it’s a life-support I need.
A fucking fashion show.
That’s what it took to put her in my path. A pair of whiskey brown eyes that I’d never forget. I was threatened to never touch her. A selfish prick never stays away. I was going to change her life for one night. What I didn’t know: she was about to change mine.
A savior comes in the form we need it. Nothing more, nothing less.

I can’t save myself from the Cloister, and maybe I never could.
The Prophet grows more dangerous by the day.
His delusions are steeped in blood, and if I’m not careful, that blood will be my own.
Despite the growing risk, I still continue the search for the truth, no matter if the thorny path eventually twists back to Adam, guilt in his dark eyes.
I’ve seen glimpses of his soul, and I know there is more to him than the monster, but it’s so hard to reach him. I knew when I came here that I’d have to fight, I just didn’t realize the war would be waged on so many fronts.
Author's Note: If you have a trigger, this book will pull it. The Maiden is the first book of The Cloister Series. The Prophet will release in May, and the conclusion to the series, The Church, will release in June.

FREE in Kindle UnlimitedPeter Parker Penn.
Unlike the superhero his mother named him after, Parker is no good guy.
In fact, if there’s a picture in the dictionary under anti-hero, it’s his.
Parker’s spent his life trying to get back on the right side of the tracks, but each step he takes forward, he takes two more steps back.
To save one, he hurts others. To make this good, he turns that bad.
For appearances’ sake, he plays the part. He does what people expect him to do-mostly.
And at the end of each day, he goes back to his lonely apartment and wishes he was a different person. One who could fix the things he’s broken.
Then Kayla Nash forces her way into his life, and the world as he knows it is irrevocably changed.
Everything he thinks he has right is wrong. And everything he thinks is wrong is oh, so right.
One thing leads to another, and suddenly he’s growing a conscience, and trying to prove to her that he’s as bad as everybody says he is.
Yet she won’t listen.
She’s convinced that she can save him.
Little does she know, Parker isn’t worth saving, and never will be.

Once upon a time, I fell in love with a blue-eyed boy who promised me forever.
We fell hard and fast, even though our relationship was forbidden.
Loving Angelo Morelli wasn’t my first sin.
It wouldn’t be my last.
Our families were friends before they were enemies, fighting for power in the city.
I was their bargaining chip, a pawn to be used by the most powerful men in Philadelphia.
I just didn’t know it.
Angelo was my white knight in a world full of darkness.
But someone had to pay for the sins of the past.
Too bad that person was me.

The president has announced that Earth is going to collide with a rogue moon, and in the process, our entire planet is going to be smashed to bits. As one would expect, upon hearing this news, humans went ballistic. It was as if every sports team in the world lost their championship game at the same time. No car was left unrolled—but oddly enough, Taco Bell remained open and made unfathomable profits in the last days. Apparently, Doritos Locos® Tacos were a popular last meal.
Autumn (who for the purpose of this retelling asked to be portrayed as drool-inducing hot with kick-ass ninja skills) has just been handed the task of saving all of humanity. With the help of her unbelievably sexy alien boyfriend and her kleptomaniac friend with fire-retardant hair, Autumn races to save her fellow humans by using the Ark of the Covenant. Along the way, she discovers how sheltered people are from the truth of extraterrestrials and their power to either protect us or destroy us.
Stupid government.
Grab a bottle of wine, a shipload of snacks, and prepare to take a ride on this humorous chick lit romantic sci-fi paranormal adventure. If you’re into Ancient Aliens, conspiracy theories, UFOs, crave a little sexy time in your reading, are curious if we were genetically engineered (like the Sumerian cuneiform texts claim), and are dying to find out the meaning of life, then this book is for you.

Fresh off a divorce from a Hollywood hotshot, Madison Atwood needs an escape. With the paparazzi fresh on her heels and her love life splashed on every tabloid, she runs away to a swanky retreat in Northern California. Avalon Springs is the mountainside haven she needs to find herself again.
Luke Dawson lives off the grid, preferring solitude to society. When he finds a beautiful woman soaking in the hot springs on his property, he can’t stop himself from watching her. She captures his attention, but she’s just a city girl—a beautiful distraction disturbing the peace he’s settled here to find.
When Madison discovers Luke’s secluded cabin, he can’t turn her away again. They make no promises. Madison needs to feel wanted again, and Luke misses the touch of a woman. But when mother nature has other plans, they’re forced to spend more than a night of passion together. Can Luke say goodbye to the only woman who’s made him feeling anything in years, and can Madison leave behind the man who brought her back to life?
I've got a bunch of these 'Misadventures' books to read and if they're anything like this one, I'm in for a great time! My heart went out to Madison. The deterioration of her relationship with her ex had her questioning her value, had her suffering from self-doubt, and left her lost and confused as to her identity. As for Luke, serving his country left him with the need for isolation. He found it hard to assimilate, which made him a loner. When Madison went on a trip to find herself again, she found herself on Luke's property, and that's when their story began. It was sweet and incredibly hot and I was so happy that they were each able to complete the other. Through compromise, they ended up being just who the other needed.

It was never love with Daniel and I never thought it would be.
It was only lust from a distance.
Unrequited love maybe.
He’s a man I could never have, for so many reasons.
That didn’t stop my heart from beating wildly when his eyes pierced through me.
It only slowed back down when he’d look away, making me feel so damn unworthy and reminding me that he would never be mine.
Years have passed and one look at him brings it all back.
But time changes everything.
There’s a heat in his eyes I recognize from so long ago, a tension between us I thought was one-sided.
“Tell me you want it.” His rough voice cuts through the night and I can’t resist.
That’s where my story really begins.

I'm not who you think I am.
Shane Hawthorne has it all. At least, that's what the headlines say about me. I have millions of fans, awards, more money - and women - than I know what to do with. But what you don't see is the wreckage I've caused. The memories and pain I can't escape, even when I pour them into music and spin them into gold.
I tried to forget. To lose myself in booze and groupies. It didn't work. It hurt me and - worse - it hurt my band. That's the last thing I want to do, so I'm cleaning up my act... starting with Delaney Fraser.
Gorgeous, smart, drama-free, and even nice - Delaney is the perfect "girlfriend." When I'm with her I don't have to pretend. It's like she sees the real me. And I can see a future with her. But that's dangerous. Because the truth is, Shane Hawthorne doesn't actually exist. He's a shield to hide who I really am. Fraud. Runaway. Addict. Murderer.
And it's impossible to love a lie, right?
